This is informally known as “high rocky point,” about 3100 feet up on Mt. D, and at the end of the trail that I/Grant am on in one of the pix nearby. The ground is hard, so it’s hard to stake a tent down. It gets really windy, and after you’ve camped here on a windy night, everything else within a a hundred miles seems tame.
